Chapter 6. Interactive Multicast Videoconferencing

On the Remote Participant Side

On the remote participant side, the following options are available during an
interactive multicast session:
Request Floor
After the participant has accepted the multicast call from the Chair, Request
Floor enables the participant to request permission (from the Chair) to
transmit audio and video during the interactive multicast session.

When the Chair accepts the request, the message "Please wait, granting
floor/talk" is displayed, followed by "Floor/Talk Granted to <IP>".
Request Talk
Once the participant has accepted the call from the Chair, Request Talk enables
the participant to request permission (from the Chair) to transmit audio
without video during the interactive multicast session.
Cancel Request
Cancel Request enables the remote participant to cancel a pending Request
Floor/Talk action.
On the Chair side, the message: "Your Floor/Talk request was cancelled"
confirms to the participant that the floor request was cancelled.

The Chair selected 'Automatically grant floor' so the authorization occurs
immediately without any message on the Chair side.
The Chair receives a message announcing that "<name> requested
floor/talk", and the Chair can accept the request. A blinking camera icon is
displayed on the Chair side as long as the participant is waiting for the Chair's
authorization.
Note: participants to which the floor is granted are temporarily given the
stage but they do not become the Chair and they cannot add participants
to the multicast session, nor can they perform any action that the Chair
can perform.
