Setting up Interactive Multicast Calls
You can start interactive multicast calls via the Start Multicast window.
Starting an Interactive Multicast
After you set the interactive session settings (see
Calls), start the interactive multicast session and then add additional participants
to the conversation.

To set interactive multicast settings:

Select Interactive on the main menu; the Start Multicast window
appears.

The Start Multicast window includes the following properties:
o Multicast Name – Type in your name for the conference session.
o Bandwidth – Selected bandwidth for the conference session,
configured in Multicast Settings (see
o Enable public viewers – Select this option to enable anyone to
freely join the conference as a viewer. When this option is selected,
the Require Password option below is disabled.
o Require Password – Select this option to require a password from
the participants.
Password – Enter the password that the participants will need
to type in order to join the multicast session.
o Ongoing Multicasts – For the Join Passive option only, select a
running conference on your network from the drop-down list. Once
selected, the Join Passive option becomes available. You join the
selected conference as a passive viewer, and the settings made above
are not applied.
