■ Digital repeater operation

Repeater call signs must be programmed for repeater opera-
tion in both digital voice and low-speed data communications.

eRotate [DIAL] to select "CALL SIGN MEMORY" then push
[MAIN•BAND].
rRotate [DIAL] to select "RPT CALL SIGN MEMORY" then
push [MAIN•BAND].
tRotate [DIAL] to select the desired call sign channel

• Push [ABC](TONE•DTMF) to turn the character group from al-
phabetical characters capital letters.
• Push [12/](M/CALL•MW) (Right band's) to turn the character
group from numbers or symbol.
• Push [CLR](DUP•MONI) to clear the selected character.
• Push [GW](LOW•PRIO) to turn the gateway setting ON/OFF.
u Repeat step y until repeater call sign is programmed.
i Push [MAIN•BAND] to store the programmed call sign.
oPush [BACK](V/MHz•SCAN)
return to frequency indication.
