Table 8-3 Basic IP Commands
Description
Enables the generation and processing of BootP
packets on a VLAN to obtain an IP address for the
VLAN from a BootP server. The default setting is
enabled for all VLANs.
Enables the forwarding of BootP and Dynamic
Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) requests.
Enables IP routing for one or all VLANs. If no
argument is provided, enables routing for all
VLANs that have been configured with an IP
address. The default setting for
disabled.
Enables forwarding IP broadcast traffic for one or
all VLANs. If no argument is provided, enables
broadcast forwarding for all VLANs. To enable,
ipforwarding must be enabled on the VLAN.
The default setting is enabled.
Enables IP multinetting on the system.
Adds the IP destination address to forward BootP
packets.
Removes one or all IP destination addresses for
forwarding BootP packets.
Adds a permanent entry to the ARP table. Specify
the IP address and MAC address of the entry.
Deletes an entry from the ARP table. Specify the IP
address of the entry.
Disables the generation and processing of BootP
packets.
