Connecting a PC Directly to a ViewStation
The following information applies to the Windows 95 operating system. If you are

A personal computer (PC) running Microsoft Windows that is not
connected to a LAN can be directly connect to a ViewStation to make video
calls, upgrade software, make PowerPoint presentations, or perform remote
setup and diagnostics.
•
Microsoft Windows 95, 98, 2000, or Windows NT (required for
PowerPoint presentation support and LAN upgrade of software)
•
Desktop PC or laptop with a 10mbps Ethernet LAN card
•
Ethernet cable
•
Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.02, 4.0, or 5.0 (recommended) or
Netscape Navigator 4.x.
To connect a PC directly to a ViewStation:
1.
Connect the blue-tipped cable from the blue connector on the back of
the ViewStation to the PC's Ethernet card.
2.
Turn on the ViewStation.
3.
At the PC, right-click with the mouse on your Network Neighborhood
icon.
