Boot Menu

The boot menu contains seven fields that allow you to control the boot
process. Three of these fields open submenus. Table 22 lists the fields and
the options for each.

Description
When console redirection is enabled, this field
selects the baud rate.
When the Emergency Management Port (EMP)
shares the COM port as console redirection, the
baud rate must be set to 19.2k to match the
EMP baud rate, unless you use the autobaud
feature.
None disallows flow control.
CTS/RTS is hardware flow control.
XON/XOFF is software flow control.
CTS/RTS +CD is hardware plus carrier-detect flow
control.

If Enabled, system verifies the diskette type on
boot.
Disabled results in a faster boot.
This option should remain enabled unless you
install more than eight hard drives in the
system.
