Editing a layout

To define a display, you have to configure a layout. You can configure several
layouts. Conditions and the size of fields are determined with a layout.

What is a layout?

A layout is the display text for a wallboard. A layout can be displayed by
different wallboards but the wallboard type must be the same. For this purpose,
every layout of the Wallboard module is assigned a name. A wallboard can
display different layouts at different times.

What is a LayoutRelation?

A LayoutRelation assigns a layout to a wallboard and determines the conditions
under which the layout is displayed. A wallboard can have several
LayoutRelations defining different layouts with different conditions. Every
wallboard has its own list of LayoutRelations. Thus, different wallboards can
display the same layout with different conditions. Three factors influence when a
layout is displayed.

Creating a layout

Proceed as follows to create a new layout.
