Example for a formula
The following table shows an example of a formula.
LayoutName
Formula of condition
Alarm level 1
tMaxWait <= 15
tMaxWait > 15 AND
Alarm level 2
tMaxWait <= 30
Alarm level 3
tMaxWait > 30
Please pay attention to the following criteria when creating formulas.
You must use the correct comparison operators. Three groups are
listed in the table above. The two comparison operators of each
group are mutually exclusive. If one comparison is "true" the other
is "false". Tip: If the numbers to be compared are the same in two
formulas and the two comparison operators of a group are selected,
the comparisons exclude each other. The example above is
structured in this way.
The conditions of several LayoutRelations must be linked without
blanks in comparisons, except if this is explicitly desired. A layout
of low priority is then displayed, for example: if Alarm level 1 is
totally omitted.
The conditions of several LayoutRelations must be added so that
comparisons do not overlap.
There are overlapping comparisons. In such a case the different
layouts are displayed cyclically. See Display duration.
Warning: Due to technical reasons a formula that does not contain
a comparison operator is a true condition. If the value of the
formula is "0" this means "false" and the layout is not displayed. If
the value of the formula is not equal to "0", that is, "1" or greater,
this means "true" and the layout is displayed. For example: the
layout displays "tMaxWait" as the formula if the wait time is more
than one second. Avoid such formulas as conditions.
