Drop the feed dogs (see p. 55). 5.

1, Match the button holes to the horizontal slot on the
presser foot.
2, Lower the foot to hold the button in place,
3, Turn the handwheel by hand until the needle point ts
lust above the button.
4, Press the stitch width button (+ or-) so the needle will
enter the lef_jthole of the button.

Turn the handwheel so the needle wilt enter the r_ght
hole of the button. Readiust the stitch width if
necessary.
6, Stitch several times,
7. After you finish sewing, cut the thread but leave 3 to 4
inches of thread at the button.
8, Draw the thread to the reverse side of the fabric and
knot the threads,
When sewing the button is completed, raise the feed dogs
for normal sewing.

1. Alignez les trous du bouton sous ia fente a zigzags du
pted-presseur,
2. Abaissez ie pied presseur pour qu "il tienne ie bouton.

['aiguille soit pres du bouton.
4. Appuyez sttr te bottton de largeur du point, puis sur (+
ott -) pottr que l'atguille elztre dans le trou de gauche,
5, Tottrtzez te volant _zta main pour votr st l' atguitle entre
clans le trou de drotte, Au besoin, rdglez d tzottveat_ ta
largeur du point.
6. Piquez plusteurs potnts,
7. Quand vot_s avez fint, coupez tes fils en gardant 3 d 4
pouces de fil _ l'extrgmtt# du bouton.
8. Tirez le fil sorts le ttsstt et nouez-ie.
Lorsque le bouton est pos& reievez tes griffes
d' entra£nement.
