Zigzag Stitches (Continued)
Sew a Button
Drop the feed dogs (see page 62).
1. Match the center of the buttonholes to the center of the slot on the presser foot.
2. Adjust the stitch width so that needle will drop in each hole.
3. Lower the toot to hold the button in piace,
Turn the hand wheel by hand so that needle will enter either hole of the button.
4. Stitch several times.
To strengthen the shank, cut the threads
leaving an 8"" tail. Bring the needle
thread down through the hole in the
button and wind it around the shank.
Draw the thread to the bottom side and
knot.
When finished, raise the feed dogs (see
page 62).

2. R_glez te Sdleeteur de iargeur de point pour que l'atguilte descende dans ehaque
trou dzi botttott.
3. Abatssez te pted presseur pour que ceha-et mamtienne le Oouton en place.
Fa_tes toztrner nmmtellement ie volant pour que l'atguille entre dans fun ou
rautre trou du bouton.
4. Effeemez phtsieurs piqfires.
PourfaWe une nge sous le benton, coupez
/es fils h 8 po.. Gtissez le fil d'azguilte
dans nn tren et entourez la queue.
Passez le fil sorts ]e tisstt et notlez-le.
Lorsque vous avez termtne, sortez les
griffes d"entra_nement (votr page 63).
