Error Message
The specified number of
paths is less than the
minimum number of paths on
the RCU option screen due to
a communication error
between the MCU and the
RCU.
The path could not be deleted
due to a communication error
between MCU and RCU.
Parameter specified by XP
Continuous Access operation
is invalid.
The pair status of the R-VOL
is not valid.
XP Continuous Access
operation was rejected.
The pair status of the
specified volume is not valid.
The Port, GID, LUN, CU, or
LDEV number of the specified
volume is incorrect.
The operation was rejected
due to a FREEZE state.
The port group already exists
on the specified port.
Recommended Action
Check the paths status and
reestablish the paths.
Either a communication error
occurred between the MCU
and the RCU, or the CHA has
become blocked. Call HP
technical support.
A parameter specified by the
XP Continuous Access
operation is invalid. For
example, the R-VOL that is
specified could already be in
use as the R-VOL of another
XP Continuous Access pair.
Check the pair status for XP
Continuous Access. If the
requested R-VOL is in a
permissible status, retry the
operation.
All channel adapters are not
active for XP Continuous
Access. Call HP technical
support.
The pair status does not
permit this operation. Verify
the pair status, and if the
operation is permitted retry.
Check if the specified Port,
GID, LUN, CU, or LDEV
number exists in the storage
system.
1. If this was a path
operation retry after the
problem has been fixed.
2. If this was a pair
operation, retry after the
paths have been
recovered. Two ways to
recover paths are:
a. Execute ESTPATH from
the host console, or
b. First delete the paths
from the SVP, and then
re-add them.
The port type could not be
changed because the port
group was set in the specified
package. Delete the group
setting, and then change the
port type.
