Programing
On-Disc timer Programing is a function used with discs that are
especially intended for a specific program. The disc is then
programed for a program you always watch every day or every
week. Since older programs are automatically overwritten, a
single DVD-RAM/RW (VR mode) disc can be used without
worrying about how much recording capacity remains.

You can program each disc to timer-record as many as
8 programs.
Before performing On-Disc Timer Programing:
• Turn on the unit.
• Turn on the TV and select the AV mode.
• Slide the TV/CABLE/DBS/DVD switch to DVD.
• Make sure that the unit's built-in clock is set
properly.
ATTENTION:
• On-Disc Timer Programing is possible only with the disc
for On-Disc Timer Programing.
• ff data is recorded on a disc for On-Disc Timer Programing
using a unit from another manufacturel_ On-Disc Timer
Programing may no longer function properly.

Loada disc.
[] Press A to open the disc tray.
[] Place a recordable disc on the disc tray.
• For details, refer to "Placing a Disc" (_-€_pg. 11).
[] Press A to close the disc tray.
_ Access Program Check screen.
Press PROG/CHECK,
I_1 Access the programscreen.
When On-Disc Timer Programing is made for the first
time on the disc
Press i\V repeatedly to select "DISC TIMER PRGM',
then press ENTER.
• When some programs are recorded on the disc, a caution
message appears, in such a case, backup the programs as
require(], then format the disc before making On-Disc Timer
Programing. (_-_ pg. 101, "Format a disc")
When On-Disc Timer Programing has already been
made on the disc
Press i\T, repeatedly to select "NEW TIMER
PROGRAM", then press ENTER.

• The (urrent (]ate appears on the TV screen. The (]ate you enter
appears in its place.

Press <" _" to select "START", then press/\_ repeatedly
to set the desired start time.
• Each press of/\x7 advances/goes back the start time in 1-min.

• To advance/go back the start time in 30-rain. increments, press
and hold/\V.
