Cable Box or DBS receiver Users
To timer-record a satellite broadcast using Man ual Timer
Programing:
[] Perform "Cable Box Control Setting" (L_ _ pg. 29) or "DBS
Receiver Control Setting" (_ pg. 32).
[] Perform "Manual Timer Programing".
[] Leave the Cable Box or DBS receiver's power on.
ATTENTION FOR DBS RECEIVER USERS
If you are using a DBS receiver (unless "DBS RECEIVER SET"
is set to "OFF" L_ _ pg. 33), the band indication (TV, CA/V or
DBS) appears on the left of the channel number indication.
No indication:
lb timer-record a regular TV broadcast received on
the unit.
CATV: lb timer-record a cable TV broadcast received on the
unit, or through a cable box (unless "CABLE BOX
SET" is set to "OFF" zv _ pg. 30).
DBS: lb timer-record a satellite broadcast received through
a DBS receiver.
NOTE:
If the dlannel number entered requires that the band be set,
"7=DBS" is displayed on the screen.
[f this happens, press the DBS (number key "7") to select
"DBS'.
Complete timerprograming.

• To program another timer, repeat steps [] [_.
Engage the unit'stimermode.
Press @ {TIMER). lhe unit turns off automatically and
"®" appears on the front display panel.
• To disengage the timer mode, press (!) {TIMER) again.
NOTES:
• When two successive programs are recorded on a DVD-RW
disc with Manual timer programing recording function, the
beginning of the second one may be left off the recording.
• [f the copy limited program is received during timer-recording,
the unit enters Record Pause mode. Recording starts again if it
is switched to a recordable broadcast during the time you
programed.
