Setting up the driver PCB after replacement

NOTE: Before starting the following procedure, make sure that the print head unit is installed.
The machine automatically enters the maintenance
mode.
Then perform the following:
- EEPROM customizing
[Function code: 74]
- CCD scanner area setting
[Function code: 55]
- Setting the sensing reference level of the ink
empty sensor [Function code: 57]
(Refer to CHAPTER 7.)
Following the sensitivity level setting, the machine
automatically carries out the purging operation and
aging of the carriage. (This will take approx.
7 minutes.)
When the machine is carrying out the purging operation and aging of the carriage,
press the Stop key to return to the initial stage of the maintenance mode.
Then perform the following:
After completion of the purging operation and aging of the carriage, perform the following:
- ADF performance test
- Updating of paper feeding correction value
- Alignment of vertical print lines
- Operational check of LCD
Make the machine exit from the maintenance mode by pressing the 9 key twice.
(Refer to CHAPTER 7.) If you turn the machine off without pressing the 9 key twice, the next
powering-on will restore the machine to the maintenance mode where purging operation will
automatically take place.

Turn the machine off and on.
Set an ID code and head property data to the machine.
(Refer to Appendix 2, A2.2 and A2.3.)
