(3) Pull four latches "a" of the bank ASSY inwards and remove the ASSY from the ASF base.
(4) Remove the two screws to release the separation pad ASSY.
(5) Remove the pawled bushing from the left side of the ASF base and pull out the ASF shaft
together with the bushing. The ASF roller ASSY also comes off.
(6) Remove the screw from the manual feed slot cover sensor.

Reassembling Notes
• Route the manual feed slot cover sensor harness on the underside of the ASF base as illustrated
on the previous page.
• When setting the bank ASSY to the ASF base, turn the end of the ASF spring clockwise (when
viewed from the left) and fit it into the recess provided in the rear side of the bank ASSY, as
illustrated on the previous page.
• When setting the ASF roller ASSY back into place, take care not to touch the urethane section
by hand. If touched, the urethane section will become easily contaminated with dirt or oil on the
hands, affecting the paper feeding performance. Lightly wipe the urethane section with a cloth
dampened with alcohol.
