Connecting the Printer

To connect the printer, you need the following equipment:
14-foot, 8-conductor modular cable (straight)
Modular/RS-232 DB-25 adaptor, male connector, or
Modular/RS-232 DB-25 adaptor, female connector
(depending on printer model)
The cable must be configured as shown in Table 3-2.

Once the cable is configured and the printer is connected, perform the
following steps:
NOTE:
If any of the report counters exceed 65,535 total, the counter is reset to 0.
Printing Call Handling Reports
To print a report, perform the following steps:
1. Dial the MERLIN Attendant extension from a Touch-Tone phone,
preferably a single-line set.
2. Wait for an answer.
3. Dial followed immediately by the authorized caller code and
