Details of the Transfer System

In the second transfer process, the toner image on the transfer drum

is transferred to paper. See

The transfer roller, normally separated from the transfer drum, is

positively biased by the power supply THV. The transfer roller

contacts the transfer drum as paper passes between the transfer

roller and the transfer drum. The positive bias of the transfer roller

causes the toner to release from the transfer drum and adhere to the
