Developing Process

In the developing process, an electrostatic latent image becomes
visible on the OPC belt using the printer toner.
There are four toner cartridges in the 5024 printer. See
Theory of Operation" on page 1-14
The toner cartridges are located in the printer from top to bottom in
the color order of black, yellow, magenta and cyan.
1. Toner adheres to the developer roller.
The developer roller makes contact with the surface of the OPC
belt which begins the developing process.
2. The developer roller has been biased to the potential -DBV(V).
