Details of the transfer system

Second transfer (paper) process

In the second transfer process, the toner image on the transfer belt is transferred to paper. See "Printer
theory of operation" on page 1-14 for second transfer roller location.
The transfer roller, normally separated from the transfer belt, is positively biased by the power supply THV.
The transfer roller contacts the transfer belt as paper passes between the transfer roller and the transfer
belt. The positive bias of the transfer roller causes the toner to release from the transfer belt and adhere to
the paper.
