4.6.3 DEFECTIVE FAX FORWARD/RECEIVE
Description: Fax Forward/Receive function does not function correctly.
Cause
1.
No dial tone is heard when you press the
On Hook Dial (OHD) button.
2.
No receive tone is heard when performing
the modem test in Tech Mode.
4.6.4 DEFECTIVE FAX FORWARD
Description: Receive function operates correctly. Forward function does not
operate correctly, or received data is corrupt.
Cause
1.
An unusual noise is heard when "On-
Hook" is pressed.
2.
Use the same socket (if possible) to verify
if the destination fax machine can receive
forwarded faxes.
3.
Cable between the machine and the wall
socket is damaged.
4.6.5 DEFECTIVE FAX RECEIVE 1
Description: Forward function operates correctly. Receive function does not
operate correctly, or received data is corrupt.
Cause
1.
An unusual noise is heard when "On-
Hook" is pressed.
2.
Use the same wall socket with a different
fax to receive data from the same sender.

FAX AND PHONE PROBLEMS
Solution
1.
Replace the LIU if the modem test is
normal but there is still no dial tone.
2.
Replace the main board if the modem test
shows a fault.
Solution
1.
Repair the telephone line.
2.
Replace the LIU.

Replace the line cord.
