Introduction and General Information

Using QuikSync

QuikSync is functioning to back up data when the QuikSync icon displays in the
system tray in the right corner of the Windows task bar
when data is writing to the Zip disk.

If an icon does not display, you must enable the application using the procedure in the
next section,
Enabling QuikSync
1. From the Windows Start menu, choose Programs > Iomega QuikSync >
QuikSync.
The Iomega QuikSync dialog box displays.
2. Click On to enable QuikSync.
3. Click OK.
QuikSync Settings
Do not change the default settings for automatic backup of the HAFMData directory.
If you feel that QuikSync is not functioning properly, check the settings using the
following steps:
1. Open the QuikSync dialog box using one of these steps.
— From the Windows Start menu, choose Programs > Iomega QuikSync >
QuikSync.
— Double-click the QuikSync icon on the Windows system bar in the lower
right corner of the Windows desktop.
— Right-click the QuikSync icon and choose Settings from the menu.
2. Verify that the dialog box shows the QuickSync On radio button enabled and the
Source is c:\HAFMData.
