Labelling
Labelling of products that have been developed and distributed in accord-
ance with directive regarding medical products. Products of the classes Is,
Im, IIa, IIb and III are also labelled with the identification number of the noti-
fied body.
UL listing test mark from Underwriters Laboratories as proof that the product
is in accordance with the applicable safety requirements.
This labelling signifies compliance with the safety requirements for both the
USA and Canada.
UL recognised component test mark from Underwriters Laboratories as
proof that UL recognised components may be used in a UL-tested product
or system.
This labelling signifies compliance with the requirements both for the USA
and for Canada.
Labelling of devices with an applied part of Type B in accordance with the
IEC 60601-1 standard.
Level of protection against electric shock.
Symbol for the labelling of medical devices
Labelling for intermittent operation, i.e. if product is operated continuously
for the time "x", the product may then not be operated for the time "y". Ex-
ample: int 10 / 20 means that after 10 minutes of uninterrupted use/adjust-
ment, the product may not be used/adjusted for 20 minutes.
Labelling in compliance with the IEC 60529 standard.
Symbol for "Protection against dust".
Labelling of devices with a protective earth (ground) in accordance with the
IEC 60601-1 standard.
Labelling in compliance with the IEC 60601-1 standard.
Symbol for "Alternating current".
Labelling in accordance with the standard ISO 15223-1.
Symbol for "Name and address of the manufacturer". The date of manufac-
turing can be combined with this symbol.
