Modules of the medical ceiling supply units
3.1.3.1 EPoS (Ergonomic Positioning System)
EPoS is a rail system which enables accessories and hand controls to quickly be mounted to the
distributor. At the same time the EPOS is supplying power to hand controls via power strips (low
voltage 24 DC). Accessories and hand controls can be easily repositioned and/or attached/de-
tached by a trained user .
The EPoS rail is available with the distributor modules SLIM, MEZZO, TWIN, SKY ADV and
MODUEVO Screen holder.
3.1.3.2 Network connections
In each distributor there are several mains connection equipped with unique circuit numbers (e.g.
1, 2, 3). Depending on requirements, the power sockets may be connected to different circuits
and obtain a corresponding code.
If power sockets are to be used for specific devices, they can be marked with the following ad-
hesive labels.
• XRay: For X-ray devices
• EMG: For electromyography devices
• EEG: For electroencephalography devices
• ECG: For electrocardiographic devices
3.1.3.3 Gas connections
Depending on requirements, the distributor modules are equipped with several lines for various
types of gas and anesthesia gas. For purposes of unique designation, gas connections are
marked with predefined colours (ISO or NFPA 99).
