What are the Advanced Utilities?

Version Utility

Purpose: This command reports the firmware version as a four character

The Advanced Utilities are used to manage the flash file system, to obtain
information about firmware and printer applications, to configure the
printer for use in other countries, and to set several operating parameters.
The following example illustrates the use of some of the commands you
find in this chapter. The example assumes that the printer is connected to
a host computer capable of full duplex serial communication. Comments
to the right are not part of the session. Comments in uppercase are
commands sent from the host to the printer. Comments in lower case are
printer responses to the host. These commands are further explained as
you read through this chapter.
In the following example, text printed in italic type refers to data sent to
the printer, and text printed in bold type refers to data sent from the
printer.
