Sampling Rate
Sound waves are no simple sine waves, bu complex waves. When you
record a sound wi h he Sound Blas er Pro, i changes analog signals in o
digi al signals.
Sampling is he number of imes he Sound Blas er Pro looks a a sound
o crea es a digi ized version or image of he sound. For example,
recording sound a 4KHz, crea e 4000 digi ized images or samples in one
second. When looking a a s andard sound waveform, compared o a
digi ized image you can see bi s of informa ion make up he digi ized
image. In he case of Voice Edi or II, you can selec be ween 4Khz (4,000
Her z) and 44.1 KHz when recording. This sampling ra e affec s
