Note: Port refers o he Sound Blas er Pro I/O address; Int is he DAC
(Digi al o Analog Conver er) in errup and DMA is he Direc Memory
Access Channel.
If you have changed he jumper se ings on he Sound Blas er Pro card,
you need o change he se ings in he WIN.INI file o ma ch.
Selec ing Au o Scan in Se up le s you scan he curren hardware con ­
figura ion. You can hen manually en er he I/O por address, in errup
and DMA channel se ings. Af er verifying he se ings, Se up makes he
necessary changes in he WIN.INI file.
To run se up:
1. Double click on he Setup icon in he Sound Blas er Pro window.
2. When he dialog box appears, selec he card you have ins alled:
Sound Blaster or Sound Blaster Pro.
3. When he I/O por dialog box appears, he defaul is selec ed. If
i has no been changed, selec Ok. If he se ing is no correc , a
message box appears elling you ha he se ing is incorrec and
re urns you o he dialog box.
4. Similarly, when he In errup and DMA dialog boxes display,
you can choose o ei her change se ing or keep he defaul
se ings.
Using
JukeBox
JukeBox plays MIDI files (files wi h ex ension .MID) and provides a
demons ra ion of he Sound Blas er Pro in he Windows 3.0 environmen .
The program was wri en using he Microsof Windows Developmen Ki
and he Sound Blas er Developer Ki (SBK for Windows).
JukeBox uses he same conven ions as mos Windows applica ions. You
can use he mouse or he keyboard o make selec ions. You can double
click wi h he lef mouse bu on o selec files or change direc ories.
Wi hou a mouse you can use he Tab key o move from op ion o op ion.
