UTILITIES
These voice u ili ies are helpful in crea ing and changing recorded
sounds, such as crea ing special ba ch files for mul imedia applica ions.
The following programs are found in he\SBPRO\VEDIT2 subdirec ory:
■ VOC-HDR — Adds headers o raw voice fdes
■ JOINTVOC — Joins or combines voice files
■ VREC — Records voice o disk from he command line
■ VPLAY — Plays digi ized voice from disk
■ VOC2WAV — Conver s .WAV voice files o .VOC files.
■ WAV2VOC — Conver s .VOC o .WAV files.
■ PLAYCM — Plays .CMFmusic files
We've also included wo addi ional programs for con rolling and selec ­
ing inpu sources and volumes levels. These are found in he SBPRO
direc ory.
■ SB-MIX — A memory residen program forse ing Sound Blas er
Pro volume levels, selec ing sound sources and fil ers.
■ SBP-SET — Con rols he selec ion of sound sources, fil ers and
volume levels from he DOS command line.
Mos of he programs in his sec ion have op ional parame ers . To
elimina e some of he confusion , refer o he following conven ions and
s andards used o describe files and op ional parame ers:
■ filename.voc — Refers o a voice file. These can also be shown
as sourcefile.voc, arge file.voc and file 1 .voc. The .VOC ex ension
refers o a Crea ive Voice File Forma . All voice files are shown
in bold.
■ Options — Refers o op ional se ings. These are usually lis ed
inside bracke s — you do no ype he bracke s or colons when
se ing op ions unless specified. The lower case le ers refer o
variable se ings for each op ion. The op ions are shown in bold
i alics.
