SOUND BUSTER
While packing files can save space, you can not unpackfiles. A Iso,you can
not modify the waveform of a packed file. If you want to pack a disk file,
hut don ' t want to overwrite the original file, you need to save it using a
different file name.
Silence is he four h me hod of reducing file size. When you selec he
silence op ion, an en ry screen displays wi h a hreshold defaul of 3 and
a window size defaul of 150. The Voice Edi or searches for voice da a ha
falls wi hing he hreshold value and is larger han 150 by es (see
illus ra ion). This da a conver ed o Silence blocks reducing he file size.

Now ha we have learned o modify waveforms and o her blocks of
informa ion, we need o re urn o he las hree op ions under Edi on he
Main Menu Screen: Copy, Move and Combine. These op ions do exac ly
wha hey say and effec he selec ed blocks in he Block Informa ion
screen.
■ Copy — Wi h his op ion you can copy he Selec ed block(s) and
move hem o a differen loca ion. Once copied, he block(s)
appear above he Curren block loca ion.
■ Move — This op ion le s you move one or more blocks o a
differen loca ion. The Curren block loca ion de ermines he new
loca ion.
■ Combine — This le s you combine Voice blocks only. Voice
blocks mus have he same sampling ra e before hey can be
combined.
