AUTOEXEC.BAT file. You can avoid problem wi h
his kind of residen programs in he following ways:
■ Boo he sys em again from a DOS diske e and hen
run SBFMDRV from heXSBPRO sub-direc ory o
confirm ha he problem is solved.
■ During he boo ing process of he hard disk, press
C rl-Break o abor he AUTOEXEC file. Then run:
'SBPRO'SBFMDRV
■ Execu e \SBPRO\SBFMDRV before running he
misbehaving program in your AUTOEXEC file. i.e.
inser he line\SBPRO\SBFMDRV before he mis ­
behaving program. This migh only solve some
cases wi h a par ially misbehaved program. Wi h a
badly misbehaved residen program, you migh have
o remove i from he AUTOEXEC.

Joys ick no working properly in some programs.
This is a classic problem wi h PC ' s joys ick por which
uses he CPU iming o calcula e joys ick posi ion.
When a CPU is oo fas and he program does no ake
good care of he change in CPU speed, he wrong
calcula ion would cause he joys ick por o move o i s
unusable range.
The Sound Blas er Pro adheres o his PC s andard and
hence would inheri he same problems. You could
