Started
The Sound Blas er S andard Programing Tool (SBSIM) is residen
memory driver ha uses a configura ion file o load and unload he
various Sound Blas er drivers (CT-VOICE, CTVDSK or AUXDRV)
in o memory. SBSIM le s ex ernal programs share access o he drivers.
The SBSIM consis of a basic se of commands ha s ar sound ou pu and
is consis en for all hree sound drivers. This provides a simple me hod of
programming applica ions o u ilize he Sound Blas er Pro card.

approach frees applica ion programs from loading drivers and he asso ­
cia ed ask of alloca ing memory for he drivers. SBSIM akes care of
s ar ing up, ini ializing and ermina ing he drivers along wi h loading
music and voice files for he sound drivers.
If he CT-VOICE driver is loaded and ex ended memory suppor indica ed,
SBSIM ' s can load voice files in o ex ended memory, alloca ing and
freeing enough memory for he file. I can also use ex ended memory
block ha has been alloca ed by o her programs. This new, simple way
of u ilizing your Sound Blas er Pro card frees he applica ion programs
from ex ended memory programming.
