SOUNDBLASTER^
You selec blocks he same way you did in he Block Informa ion Screen.
You can spli files oo large for memory using he Spli op ion in he
Message box. Af er selec ing blocks, press he O key or selec QK wi h
he mouse. The normal Block Informa ion Screen hen displays.
The por ion edi ed is appended or reconnec ed o he original file when
saved.

■ Save — his does exac ly wha i says. I does no give you a
change o change your mind and overwri es he original file
saving any changes o disk.
■ Save as — Gives you he oppor uni y o rename a file wi hou
overwri ing he original file. Selec ing his op ion causes he
Direc ory/Drive screen o display.
■ Write — Les yousaveselec edblocksfrom heBlock Informa ion
screen o a file (See illus ra ion below).
■ Intro — displays he Copyrigh screen.
■ Exit — This he op ion you selec o qui Voice Edi or II.

Now ha you know how o load a file and selec blocks, we can proceed
o he good par .
Recording sound wi h Voice Edi or II is similar o using a ape recorder —
firs you connec all cables and devices correc ly, selec he sound source,
check inpu level and hen press he record bu on.
Ac ually, here are a few o her hings we have o do in Voice Edi or II
before we can record. The firs hing is o selec he Se ings op ion in he
Record menu. This displays a screen for selec ing sound source, fil er,
sampling ra e, and record mode (s ereo/no s ereo).
