2 DISPENSING CIRCUIT WITH BELLOW PUMP TECHNOLOGY
2.1 General description
The COROB™ automatic dispensers allow dispensing of fluid colorants into containers pre-filled with base
product, to create paints of the desired hue, chosen by means of the machine management program.
Any use other than that stated, implied or deduced, is to be considered prohibited.
The circuits primarily consist of a dispensing group, hereafter referred to as SAPS. The circuits are
arranged in a semicircular pattern in the machine body, on concentric arcs, with the dispensing nozzles in
the centre. The materials used ensure that the circuits are compatible with both water-based and solvent-
based products.
Two covers in the upper part of the machine provide access for filling the canisters and replacing a
dispensing group, if necessary (Figure 1).
The dispenser can be equipped with two versions of dispensing circuits, that differ based on the control
electronics.
Sequential
The circuits are activated one at a time; the time needed for dispensing depends on
the sum of the times for the individual circuits.
Simultaneous
The circuits are activated simultaneously; the time needed for dispensing depends on
the circuit containing the colorant of which the greatest amount is to be dispensed.
According to the type and number of dispensing circuits mounted on the machine, the size of the power
supply unit can change.
A dispensing group (Figure 2 and Figure 3) may basically be divided into:
•
2.5 or 5-liter canister, with intake filter and stirring system;
•
pumping unit, with bellow pump, support mechanics, stepper motor and electronic control devices;
