the highest priority.

Port STP

The information on the screen is described as follows:
♦ STP State The Spanning Tree Protocol state for a
selected port can either be Enabled or Disabled.
♦ Cost The Path Cost is a changeable parameter and may
be modified according to the Spanning Tree Algorithm
specification. The 100Mbps segment has an assigned Path
Cost of 10, and each 10Mbps segment has an assigned
Path Cost of 100.
♦ Priority The read-write object displays the priority
number of the port. The value is used in conjunction with
the physical port number to set the port ID, which in turn
is used when determining the root port of the bridge. The
