GPS OPERATION (ADVANCED)
GPS items
Data Extension
[MENU] > GPS > GPS TX Mode > D-PRS >
TX Format > Object > Data Extension
Selects whether or not to transmit the Course/Speed
data or the Power/Hight/Gain/Directivity data with the
position data in the D-PRS mode�
L The number of characters you can enter in "Comment"
differs, depending on the "Altitude" and "Data Extension"
settings�
• OFF:
Does not transmit any information�
• Course/Speed:
Transmits the course and speed data
with the position data�
• Power/Height/Gain/Directivity:
Transmits the TX power level, height,
antenna gain, antenna direction, and
position data�
Course
[MENU] > GPS > GPS TX Mode > D-PRS >
TX Format > Object > Course
Sets the Object's course to between 0° and 360°
L This item is displayed when "Data Extension" is set to
"Course/Speed�"
Speed
[MENU] > GPS > GPS TX Mode > D-PRS >
TX Format > Object > Speed
Sets the Object's speed to between 0 and 1150 mph�*
* If the Speed unit is set to "km/h," set to between 0 to
1850 km/h, or set to "knots," set to between 0 and
999 knots�
L This item is displayed when "Data Extension" is set to
"Course/Speed�"
Power
[MENU] > GPS > GPS TX Mode > D-PRS >
TX Format > Object > Power
Selects the TX power level of Object to transmit along
with the position data�
L This item is displayed when "Data Extension" is set to
"Power/Height/Gain/Directivity�"
• Select 0, 1, 4, 9, 16, 25, 36, 49, 64, or 81 W�
Height
[MENU] > GPS > GPS TX Mode > D-PRS >
TX Format > Object > Height
Selects the height of the Object's antenna to transmit
along with the position data�
L This item is displayed when "Data Extension" is set to
"Power/Height/Gain/Directivity�"
• Select 10, 20, 40, 80, 160, 320, 640, 1280, 2560, or
5120 feet�*
* If the Altitude/Distance unit is set to "m," select 3, 6, 12,
24, 49, 98, 195, 390, 780, or 1561 meters�
(Default: OFF)
Gain
[MENU] > GPS > GPS TX Mode > D-PRS >
TX Format > Object > Gain
Selects the gain of the Object's antenna to transmit
along with the position data�
L This item is displayed when "Data Extension" is set to
• Select between 0 and 9 dB�
Directivity
[MENU] > GPS > GPS TX Mode > D-PRS >
TX Format > Object > Directivity
Selects the direction the Object's antenna was
pointing to transmit along with the position data�
L This item is displayed when "Data Extension" is set to
• Select Omni, 45° NE, 90° E, 135° SE, 180°S, 225°
(Default: 0°)
SSID
[MENU] > GPS > GPS TX Mode > D-PRS >
TX Format > Object > SSID
Selects an SSID based on APRS
sign, to show your operating style to other stations�
(Default: 0mph)
L The SSID's additional methods differ, depending on

Time Stamp
(Default: 0W)
[MENU] > GPS > GPS TX Mode > D-PRS >
TX Format > Object > Time Stamp
Selects the transmitting time stamp type�
The time stamp is transmitted with the position
data in the D-PRS mode, and UTC (Universal Time
Coordinated) time is used�
L When your position is manually set, time stamp data is
• DHM:
(Default: 10ft)
• HMS:
