Excessive Gloss

The printed image is excessively glossy.
Cause:
Due to toner characteristics, the sensitivity to gloss and temperature is prone to be high.
The gloss is prone to be high especially on thick or matte paper.
• When printing is performed in FCS mode, the solution can be applied to FCS (white), but it is not
recommended for FCS (clear) because doing so will reduce the gloss of the special toner (clear).
Solution: (Plain paper, glossy paper, matte paper, and other paper with high gloss)
1.
If the paper is not registered as custom paper, register the brand of the paper.
2.
In [Detailed settings] for the custom paper you are using, set 1245-01: [Gloss Control] to
[On].
3.

You can specify this setting in 5 levels from -1 to +3. As the default, this is set to "0".
