then check the value for 01 [Type].

Check whether or not to enable [For Belt Scratches] in [Interval] in [Fusing Belt
Smoothing].
• With this function, the fusing belt smoothing roller automatically polishes the surface of the
fusing belt after a certain number of sheets have been fed. (Automatic polishing)
• Normally, this is set to "Off (Do not Execute)".
• The higher the frequency of polishing, the shorter the replacement cycle of the fusing belt
smoothing roller becomes.

Enable [For Belt Scratches] in [Interval] in [Fusing Belt Smoothing].
1. Select the paper from the Master paper, change the paper name to "(Paper Name)
Refreshing", and register it as custom paper.
2. In [Detailed settings] for custom paper, select 1243 [Fusing Belt Smoothing], select [Interval]
in 02: [For Belt Scratches], and then adjust the setting.
• You can select the frequency of polishing from among "Frequently", "More Frequently" and "Most
Frequently".
• Be sure to change the frequency in the order of "Off", "Frequently", "More Frequently", and "Most
Frequently".
