46 Chapter 4: Matrox GatorEye feature reference
Feature name
LightingKeepCharged
LightingMode
LightingStartDelay
Description
Feature value
Returns or sets whether the controlled-current output (CCS) is kept charged when operating in trigger mode
and waiting for a trigger. Keeping the CCS output charged helps to reduce the time required to bring the
connected LED lighting device up to its maximum illumination.
For this feature to take effect, the camera must be operating in trigger mode (the GenICam-standard trigger
control features must be enabled and configured).
False
True
Returns or sets whether the controlled-current output (CCS) is permanently on, off, or triggered by a
specified event. The CCS output is typically used to power and control a LED lighting device. For more
information, refer to the Powering and controlling a LED lighting device with controlled-current output
section, in Appendix E: Using the I/O lines and controlled- current output of Matrox GatorEye.
LightingOff
LightingOn
LightingTriggered
Returns or sets the delay between the trigger and the start of the CCS output (that is, the delay between the
trigger and the beginning of the pulse-train of the signal generating the CSS output).
For this feature to take effect, the camera must be operating in trigger mode (the GenICam-standard trigger
control features must be enabled and configured, and the LightingMode feature must be set to
LightingTriggered.

Counter and timer control

The counter and timer control features relate to the control and monitoring of
the counters and timers relating to your camera, such as the counters and timers
relating to the quadrature decoder.
This subsection lists only the Matrox GatorEye GenICam-extension features. For
a complete list of the counter and timer control GenICam-standard features, refer
to the GenICam Standard Feature Naming Convention.
Description
The CCS is not kept charged. This is the default value.
The CCS is kept charged.
The CCS is disabled.
The CCS is enabled.
The CCS is controlled with a trigger. Note that for the CCS to be triggered by
an event, the GenICam-standard trigger control features must be enabled
and configured. Note that the same trigger signal used to trigger the grab
also controls the CCS; therefore, the camera must be operating in trigger
mode (the GenICam-standard trigger control features must be enabled and
configured).
