Lighting
The lighting features of the digital I/O control features relate to the control and
monitoring of a LED lighting device, connected to your Matrox GatorEye. These
features only work with the current-controlled output (CCS) and its connected
LED lighting device (for example, a ring LED). This subsection has no equivalent
in the GenICam-standard features.
Note that the lighting features of the digital I/O control features are not available
if your Matrox GatorEye is receiving power-over-Ethernet (PoE).
Unless otherwise specified, the data type of the following feature values is integer.
Description
Feature value
Returns or sets the duration of the controlled-current output (CCS), in msecs. This is the amount of time
between the start of the illumination and the end of the illumination. This also corresponds to the duration of
the pulse-train of the signal generating the CCS. A pulse width modulator (PMW) is used to create the
pulse-train.
For this feature to take effect, the camera must be operating in trigger mode (the GenICam-standard trigger
control features must be enabled and configured) and the lighting mode must be set to triggered (with the
LightingMode feature set to LightingTriggered).
Returns or sets the duty cycle of the pulse-train of the signal generating the current-controlled output (CCS).
This is the fraction of time that the pulse-train is in an active state (either within a given duration, set using the
LightingDuration feature when the lighting mode is set to triggered, or infinity), as a percentage. The higher
the percentage of the duty cycle, the brighter the connected illuminator.

Matrox GatorEye GenICam-extension features
Description
Specifies to use the signal routed on Linen, where n is a value from 0 to 7.
For more information relating to these lines, refer to the Digital I/O and power
connector subsection of the Matrox GatorEye connectors section, in
Appendix B: Technical Reference.
Specifies to use the signal routed on the Matrox GatorEye dedicated trigger
line.
Specifies to use the signal routed on the internal line that turns the green
element of the User LED on or off. Note that, if both the green element and
the red element are both on, the User LED appears orange in color.
Specifies to use the signal routed on the internal line that turns the red
element of the User LED on or off. Note that, if both the green element and
the red element are both on, the User LED appears orange in color.
Description
Specifies the duty cycle. The default is 0.390625.
