7.1. Possible symptoms of faults - Causes of faults - Remedies to be applied

Defaults
The agitator does not start up or its
speed is too low.
The agitator starts but nothing hap-
pens.
Overheating.
Vibrations.
The single-post ram does not go up
any more.
Suction fault.

Possible causes
Insufficient air supply of the agitator.
Restrictive exhaust.
The motor has not been used for seve-
ral weeks.
Loose propellers.
Loose coupling sleeve.
Too high speed rotation.
Loose of one of the propeller.

Worn guide ring.
Insufficient air supply.

Remedies
Raise the air pressure unscrewing the
needle valve
Check the air supply pressure
upstream of the agitator.
Clean the muffler.
Change it if necessary.
Increase the air pressure.
Check the screws of the propellers.
Tighten if necessary.
Check the screws of the coupling
sleeve.
Tighten if necessary.
Reduce rotation speed of the agitator.
Check the screws of the propellers.
Tighten if necessary.
Check the screws of the coupling
sleeve.
Tighten if necessary.
Check the tightening of the geared
motor.
Change the guide ring.
Increase the air pressure.
Check the connection.
