2.8.2 Air Cooled-Heat Recovery

High quantities of thermal load form in the oil and air during compressing process in the screw
type compressors. While the cooled oil is directly sent back to the airend in the systems with air cooler
and optional water cooler, it is aimed to recover the heat forming in the oil by using plate type exchanger
along with the system in the option with heat recovery.

Figure 17 Impetus 90-315 Series Heat Recovery System Schematic View

Hot oil coming out of the oil tank goes to the heat recovery exchanger by means of thermostatic
valve control. It is cooled in the heat recovery exchanger and directed to a separate thermostatic valve.
At this point, if it is below thermostatic valve control temperature, it passes through filter and goes to
the airend. If it is above thermostatic valve control temperature, it is directed to the airend by providing
a second cooling operation in the air cooled radiator.
The information regarding the required water flow rates and pressures related to optional
compressor models are specified in the "Table 13 Water Flow Rates Required For Optional Cooling
Systems" available in the "TECHNICAL DATA" section.
