5.2 Maintenance Instructions

5.2.1 Compressor Oil

HERTZ SMARTOIL 6000 branded full synthetic compressor oils are used as compressor oil. This oil,

as you can see below, is a special oil that is manufactured by considering the operation mode of the
compressor especially.
Different types and qualities of oils have different chemical compositions and additives; and mixing

them or using them in compressor shall cause high cost damages.
Do not add any oil additives into compressor oil, as in motor oil. The oil used is prepared specifically
▪
for the compressor so it contains necessary additives.
If you use motor oil, hydraulic oil etc. instead of compressor oil; the two oils combine and form a thick
▪
paste, and damage the filters and screw block of the compressor. If you continue using your
compressor like this, permanent damages shall occur in the airend in a few days.
To prevent incorrect use, do not store other types of oils near your compressor.
