PROBLEM
Compressor doesn't generate
air.
The pressure of the
compressor exceeds the set
value.

CAUSE
Air filter is clogged.
Compressor doesn't switch to delta
from star.
Intake regulator is faulty.
Minimum pressure valve is faulty.
Intake regulator solenoid is faulty
Internal pressure discharge solenoid
valve is faulty.
There is a leak in air line connections.
Pressure setting is faulty.
Intake regulator is faulty.
Intake regulator solenoid is faulty.
SOLUTION
Check the air filter and replace if
necessary.
Star delta time setting may be faulty. Check
the setting (4-8 seconds). Commission the
compressor and observe the contacts on
the electrical panel; after the set duration
the K3 contact must be released and K2
contact must pull. If it doesn't pull, the coil
ends might have loosened or the coil might
have burned out. Inform the service.
Flap of the intake regulator may be stuck
closed. O-rings and gaskets of the intake
regulator may be damaged. Inform the
service.
Minimum pressure valve may not be
holding internal pressure as its o-rings and
gaskets are damaged. If the internal
pressure cannot be increased, it cannot
open intake regulator and the compressor
cannot be switched to load condition.
Replace gaskets and o-rings.
Check whether control power is supplied to
the solenoid valve or not (during operation
under load). If the power is supplied as
normal, solenoid coil is burnt; replace the
coil.
Check whether control power is supplied to
the solenoid valve or not (while the
compressor is running). If the power is
supplied as normal, solenoid coil is burnt;
replace the coil.
Check the connection of the hose or pipes
and make sure there are no loose
connections. If defective, replace with a
new one.
Check pressure setting.
Flap of the intake regulator may be stuck
open. Inform the service.
If power is supplied as normal to solenoid
valve, solenoid valve might be stuck. Inform
the service.
