4 OPERATION

4.1 General

An electronic control module has been placed in the system to enable you to easily see the
operating and setting values of your compressor. Electrical and mechanical precautions regarding the
operating safety of your compressor have been taken. Before operation, see the "Safety Precautions That
May Be Taken During Installation/Mounting" title. Ensure that the necessary precautions are taken.

4.2 Control and Safety Components

Control Panel: A unit where adjustments regarding compressor operation are made, malfunctions and
maintenance hours can be tracked. Before operation, make sure that operation conditions in the control
panel are correct.
Intake Regulator: It is located on the airend. Enables compressor to operate under load or idle by
controlling air intake of compressor.
Control Solenoid Valve: It is located on the block connected to intake regulator. Switches compressor to
load or idle by controlling the air into intake regulator.
Safety Valve: It is on the oil tank of the compressor. When the pressure inside the compressor oil tank
exceeds the safety valve opening pressure due to a malfunction; it discharges the compressed air and
assures safety.
Minimum Pressure Valve: It is located on the cover of the oil tank. Within compressor, it holds the internal
pressure up to 4 bar value from the first moment of operation under load and thus provides oil
circulation. Also prevents the pressure in the air tank from backing into the compressor during idle
operation and compressor shut down.
Oil Level Indicator: It indicates the oil level in the oil tank. Before operating, observe that the indicator is
between orange or green range.
Emergency Stop Button: Press in an emergency to stop the compressor. Compressor emergency stop
button is designed so that it shall stay locked upon being pressed. To return the button to its original
position, turn it slightly clockwise.
Pressure Sensor: Pressure sensor transforms pressure information into analogue signal electronically
and informs control module. If the pressure exceeds the set value for any reason, it causes the control
panel to alarm and stops the compressor, ensuring safety.
Temperature Sensor: It transforms temperature information into analogue signal electronically and
informs control panel.
PTC: It is between the motor coils. When the coils overheat, it activates and stops the compressor to
prevent the motor coils from being burned out.
Vacuum Switch: It controls the pressure at the inlet and outlet sides of the air filter. When it reaches to
a certain difference pressure, the air filter should be replaced.
