3.5.1 DataMatrix code

The DataMatrix code can be found on all movers and modules. If
there is no Beckhoff Traceability Number (BTN) under the DataMa-
trix code, you can read it out via the DataMatrix code.
For example, you can read the DataMatrix code with the camera of
your smartphone or tablet. If your camera does not support this fea-
ture, you can download a free QR code reader app or barcode
reader app for your smartphone. Use the appropriate app distribu-
tion platform for your smartphone operating system.
Internet access is not required to use the app and to read out these
DataMatrix codes.
Example scan on a straight module
This example shows how to read the BTN on a smartphone screen
after a scan.
