Precautions before installation

Installation, operation and maintenance must only be executed by personnel who read through this
Manual carefully and have the specific skills to perform installation, operation and maintenance of the
STP pump system.
DO NOT move the STP pump, the STP control unit, and STC-U while the STP pump is in operation.
Fasten the STC-U to a rack to prevent a falling accident caused by earthquake.
3.4.1

Operating environment

The STC-U should be installed in an area which meets the following requirements.
Be sure the ambient temperature of the STC-U during STP pump operation:
Ambient temperature
Ambient relative humidity
Altitude
Environment
Installation condition
3.4.2

Insulation test

The varistor for the power supply line protection is installed in the STC-U. DO NOT perform the
insulation test with the varistor installed. Doing so may result in product damage.
DO NOT perform an insulation test on the STC-U and STP control unit. When performing the
insulation test on your equipment, ensure that you disconnect the STC-U and STP control unit from
the equipment that is to be insulation tested, so that the test voltage is not applied to the STC-U and
STP control unit.
