4.5.3 Replacement of main component

If the customer requires maintenance services, PylonTech may provide paid repair services as determined
by the PylonTech's service organizations. When you need to repair or replace the main components of the
product, please contact PylonTech in advance.

authorized person only.

NOTE: Before replacing the main component, shut off the maintenance battery string's power.
Confirm the D+ and D- terminal are without power. The turn off progress refer to section 3.6.5.
4.5.3.1 Replacem ent of Battery M odule
A new battery module can be added onto an existing system at any time. Make sure the new battery
module has an equivalent voltage level (OCV) compared to existing modules. In a serial connection
system, the new module, even with a higher SOH, will follow the system worst SOH condition module
to perform.
1. Make sure the new battery module has an equivalent voltage level (OCV) compared to
existing modules.
2. Shut off the whole battery string's power. Be sure to confirm the D+ and D- terminal are without
power. The turning off progress refer to section 3.6.5.
3. Pull out the Plug of Power Cable +/-. Pull out the plug of communication cable.
D a n g e r: the power cables and plugs still have high voltage DC power from serial
connected battery modules (battery module can't be turned off), be careful to handle
the Power plugs.
