13.2.1 Common Settings for Communication Option Board
 How to continue operation even when a communication error is detected between the inverter

main unit and the option board?
 How to specify the behavior of the inverter when a communication error with the host device
occurs when using the communication option?
 Set the inverter operation when an error occurs in the data transfer between the option board

and the inverter main unit using "Operation selection at an option error [P001]". Normally, use
with "Trip (00)".
 When using the communication option, set the timeout time for detecting communication time-
out with the host device and the inverter operation when timeout occurs in "Communication
Watch Dog Timer [P044]" and "Operation selection at option communication timeout [P045]",
respectively. Set them properly according to the system.
 If run/stop command is given through the option board when "Continued operation (01)" is set

to "Operation selection at an option error [P001]", it may not be possible to stop from the option
board. Be careful to have a system configuration that can be stopped.

Trip:
A trip occurs when an error is detected in the
communication between the option board and the
inverter main unit.
Continued operation:
Even if an error is detected in the communication
between the option board and the inverter main unit, the
operation will continue.
When using the communication option, set the
communication timeout period with the host device. If
there is no communication with the host device during
operation for the time set in this setting, the inverter will
operate as set in the "Operation selection at option
communication timeout [P045]".
