Envelopes
Envelopes have a non-guaranteed printable area that varies with the envelope type. The envelope
printable area is determined by the application from which you are printing.
• White area: guaranteed printable area
• Gray area: non-guaranteed printable area
• Non-printable area is 4 mm (0.157 in.) all the way around the envelope.
Notes:
• Envelopes can only be printed on their front sides (the side on which the recipient's address is
printed).
• Your printer supports printing on two sizes of envelope (with long edge feed): DL (100 x 220 mm)
and C6 (114 x 162 mm).
• Envelopes in DL size have a non printable area on the left and right sides of 6 mm.

Page Margins

Margins are set through your application. Some applications allow you to set custom-size pages and
margins while others have only standard page sizes and margins from which to choose. If you choose a
standard format when printing on custom-size paper, you may lose part of your image (due to
printable area constraints). If you can customize your page in your application, use the application's
sizes for the printable area for best results.
