Section 5 – Procedures

5.7-13 Partial Weight Calibration

NOTE
Use a suitably rated lifting device to put a partial
load on the platform . The acceptable load range
is 18-45 kg (40-100 lbs) .
1. Make sure the display shows the main page.
2. Change the ACCESS LEVEL to level 1
(see
5 .7-5 Set the Access Level) .
3. Press the UP or DOWN buttons to find the
CALIBRATION menu, then press the MIDDLE
button to select it.
4. To abort the calibration process at any time, press
and hold the LEFT button and cycle power to the
machine.
5. Press the UP or DOWN buttons to find CALIBR.
LOAD CELL. Press the MIDDLE button to select
it.
6. Press the UP or DOWN buttons to find CALIBR.
LOAD.CELL: NOMINAL WEIGHT. Press the
MIDDLE button to select it.
7. Make sure the platform is not touching the
counterweights. If they are touching, slightly raise
the platform, so they are ISOLATED.
8. The display asks IS PLATFORM ISOLATED
FROM THE BASE? Press the RIGHT button to
confirm.
9. Remove and set aside any field option or
Accessoryzer installed on the platform.
10. The display asks IS PLATF EMPTY WITHOUT
OPTIONS? Press the RIGHT button to confirm.
11. The display will show ADJUST PARTIAL WEIGHT
## KG. Press the UP or DOWN buttons to
change the value of the partial load. LOAD
CAPACITY ONTO THE PLATFORM. Press the
RIGHT button to confirm.
12. The display shows CONFIRM LOADED
CALIBRATE.? ###KG. The ### value shows
the sum of the partial load and the platform
weight. Press the RIGHT button to confirm.
13. The display will ask IS WEIGHT LIFTED AND
PLATF EMPTY? Remove the load on the
platform and press the MIDDLE button to
confirm.
14. The display shows CONFIRM EMPTY
CALIBRAT.? ###KG. The ### value shown is
the platform weight only. Press the RIGHT button
to confirm.

15. The display shows SAVING DATA WAIT.
16. Do not cycle power to the ZAPI display while the
data is being saved.
17. Once the data is saved, the display shows
CALIBRATION DONE.
IMPORTANT
Wait 1 minute before shutting off the machine after
the calibration is done.
18. Cycle power to the ZAPI display to restore
ACCESS LEVEL 3 for normal daily operation.
19. Install any field option or Accessoryzer that may
have been removed earlier.
