Cause
The temperature of the controller power
section exceeds 85 °C. Two temperature
sensors are monitored, one on the
Master- motor power board, the other
on the Slave- motor and DC pump
one; the thermal- protection strategy
is performed considering the highest
of the two temperature readings from
the two sensors. The maximum current
is proportionally decreased with the
temperature excess from 85 °C up to 105
°C. At 105 °C, the current is limited to 0
A.
This warning occurs when the
temperature sensor is open (if digital)
or if the sensed temperature exceeds
the MAX MOTOR TEMP . threshold (if
analog).
The estimated battery charge is below
the level defined by parameter BATT.
LOW TRESHLD.
The warning can occur if parameter
BATTERY CHECK is different from 0.
The driver of the LC coil is shorted.
The LC coil driver is not able to drive the
load. The device itself or its driver circuit
is damaged.
This alarm occurs before a travel FW or
BW request if the accelerator set point
is above the minimum value acquired
during the PROGRAM VACC acquisition.
Incorrect starting sequence. Possible
reasons for this alarm are:
A travel demand active at key-on.
Enable button active at key on.
A travel demand active prior to the
enable.
Display Module
Troubleshooting
If the alarm occurs when the
controller is hot, it is necessary to
improve the controller cooling. The
important factors are the planarity
and the roughness of the mounting
surface, as well as its heat capacity.
If the alarm occurs when the
controller is cold, the possible
reasons are a failed thermal sensor
or a failure in the logic board. It is
necessary to replace the controller.
Check the MOTOR TEMPERATURE
reading by the TESTER function.
If the sensed temperature is real,
consider to improve the cooling of
the motor.
If the warning is present when the
motor is cool, check the sensor
ohmic value and the sensor wiring.
If no issue is found at the sensor
level, it is necessary to replace
the controller.
Check the battery condition or
charge batteries.
Check if there is a short or a low
impedance pull-down between
NLC (pin A27) and -B. If no issue
is found outside the controller, the
driver circuit is damaged; replace the
controller.
This type of fault is not related to
external components; replace the
controller.
Check the joystick.
Check the joystick and its state.
Check the joystick readings by the
TESTER function. If the problem is
not solved, replace the joystick.
